Program designed for the parent wanting their child to receive more guidance on individual skill development and progress. A more effective option for parents looking to involve their child in a higher skill learning, more detail-specific progressive training environment. Ideal for long-term improvement and progress. Multiple sessions are available throughout the year- for players that may be new to soccer training and for returning players that look for continued progression with skill development.
These Games, open to any players, no matter skill level or club/team affiliation, are designed to improve a player’s use of skills learned through The Escola Academy’s training and teaching, while learning about general tactics during games guided by skillful trainers. This experience leads players to develop confidence by using their skills in game situations, helping them become more creative with their decision-making. The Escola Academy’s Developmental Training Program also incorporates small-sided games in all trainings, to give players quality exposure and time to skill learning and development.
The Escola Academy staff is committed to make soccer a fun experience for all its players. Training players is about repetition and patience to teach, develop, and correct technique and skill. Training is also about putting players in various game-like situations to guide them into making correct tactical decisions. During games, players build on their “skill sets or repertoire” by training at a higher pace and under more pressure. This way, they sharpen their game technically and tactically. We view this as the best way for progress and growth of a well balanced, skillful, and smart soccer player. ** These games (available for year-round play and learning) are a perfect compliment for families interested in a quality teaching and learning environment for their child’s soccer development.

Program and instruction geared toward the beginner/recreational player and players of this age group with limited exposure to proper individual skills training. This program also helps to fill gaps in skill development that are present in players who have had experience on teams with limited focus on skill development. Ideal for long-term improvement and progress. Along with age-appropriate grouping of players, The Escola training staff centers on many aspects of skill building and small-group tactical instruction. Multiple sessions are available throughout the year- for players that may be new to soccer training and for returning players that look for continued progression with skill development.
** For the more advanced/player wanting challenge- Program focuses on small-sided, restriction-based training to allow player to develop confidence with touch and decision-making abilities while under pressure. On some occasions, training will involve a prepared course that improves a player’s level of agility, coordination, quickness and footwork- all valuable areas of a player’s development in soccer. This training option is more suitable for players that have developed some individual skill at their current level and are looking to challenge themselves and learn the game in a more advanced, training atmosphere. This is a training option available also to players that have experience playing on club or school teams, looking to compare their current level of skill and knowledge to the highest standards and expectations of The Escola Academy staff. Along with age-appropriate grouping of players, training takes place over longer time-period to see maximum results of tactical awareness and decision-making maturation. Multiple sessions are available throughout the year- for players interested at any point in the year and for returning players that look for continued progression with skill development.
The Escola Academy provides an Individual Training or Small Group Training option for players of all levels, no matter what club or team affiliation. This training is overseen and conducted by Chris Gaspar, Owner & Director of The Escola Academy, who’s coaching and playing abilities speak for themselves. Due to his professional success as a coach and former professional player, learning the game “the Portuguese Way”, he’s able to appropriately determine a player’s current level of skill and develop a personalized training plan to fit the needs and specific goals to bring forth improvement and progress for the player’s development. As improvement is best seen over a long period of time, it is in the player’s best interest to be under the guidance of the right trainer and environment. The Escola Academy offers affordable plans, rates, and discounts depending on the direction for training that is agreed upon. Program option is progressive in nature, and focuses on areas of development that sometimes get over-looked in a regular team setting. Areas of attention include training on a prepared course that improves a player’s level of agility, coordination, quickness and footwork- all valuable areas of a player’s development in soccer. Additionally, a player’s individual skill levels are challenged and put to the test, thus allowing a player to see what areas of their individual skill need proper attention for future growth. With this understanding, a player becomes aware that in order to perform to their potential in game settings, their individual skills must be improved to the highest-level possible. Training takes place over longer time-period to see maximum results in developing skills, soccer-specific coordination and fitness of player. Multiple sessions are available throughout the year- for players interested at any point in the year and for returning players that look for continued progression with skill development.
